Jagrut Odisha Bureau, Bargarh ·

The suspicious death of 30-year-old Devendra Padhan from Katapali Thelapada has created a stir in the area. His body was found at the house of a woman in Katapali Gutipada on Wednesday afternoon. Whether it was a suicide or some other reason behind the death, many questions have been raised about it. According to reports, Devendra, despite being married before, was in a relationship with a young woman named Liza Bhuey for 5 to 6 years, according to Liza and her mother Nandini Bhuey. According to them, Devendra came home drunk at around 4 pm on Wednesday afternoon. He asked for food, saying that he had a fight with his ex-wife. After this, he went to hide somewhere else because he chased Liza to beat her up. Later, they claimed that Nandini was hanged from the fan in the house after abusing her. After the incident came to light, the Katapali sarpanch and the villagers reached the spot and informed the police. However, when the police arrived, the body was not hanging but lying on the ground. The biggest question is, why was the body lying at the scene of the incident till 8 am on Thursday even though the death occurred on Wednesday afternoon? While many doubts and questions are being raised about the incident, the police have not yet responded. No statement has been received from the family of the deceased either. The real cause of Devendra's death will be clear only after the police investigation and autopsy report.
