Rs 107 crore 44 lakh 55 thousand sanctioned for Ganjam district

As per the package announced by the Chief Minister, the state government has sanctioned over Rs 107 crore 70 lakh from the State Disaster Relief Fund for Ganjam and Koraput districts to provide cash relief to the families affected by Cyclone Arnab. Out of this, Rs 107 crore 44 lakh 55 thousand has been released for Ganjam district and Rs 26 lakh 27 thousand 500 for Koraput district. As per the sanctioned amount, 4 lakh 29 thousand 782 families affected by Cyclone Arnab in Ganjam district will be provided cash relief at the rate of Rs 2,500 per family. Similarly, 1,051 affected families in Koraput district will also be provided this assistance at the rate of Rs 2,500 per family. This amount has been given to the District Collector of the concerned district. This amount will be utilized to provide immediate relief to the eligible affected families as per the prescribed rules and guidelines. This is said to be a major step in the state government's commitment to provide immediate financial assistance and relief to the affected people during disasters.
