A large meeting was held with the residents of 10 surrounding villages for the overall development of the famous historical and legendary Ranidunguri hill in Brahmini village under Lakhana panchayat of Muribahal block of Balangir district, for the good management of the Maa Navadurga temple and for the beautification of the hill. This hill, which is associated with legends and folklore, has places of historical importance like Ranipah, Ranichuaan and Ranimunda. There is a vast plain extending over 25 acres on the western side of the hill, so there is a need for research on its historical importance.
